Is Legend cookware really free of coatings?

Yes. The cooking surface is solid 304 stainless steel - no PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, lead, cadmium, or BPA anywhere in the pan. Nothing to scratch off, ever.

What does 5-ply actually mean?

Five bonded layers run through the whole pan, not just the base: a 304 stainless cooking surface, heat-spreading aluminum layers, and a magnetic 430 stainless exterior. That is what keeps heat even, edge to edge.

Does it work on induction?

Yes. The 430 stainless exterior is magnetic, so every piece works on induction as well as gas and electric cooktops.
